Mandi – Your Indian Fix – is a one – of –its-kind lifestyle store, that recently opened in Betalbatim, South Goa, on the 21st of November 2013.

Mandi meaning ‘market place’ in Hindi, features apparels, eco-friendly ayurvedic fabrics, accessories, furnishings, Indian art, handmade paper and quirky ideas that you never imagined.

The out-of-the-box concepts and interiors, are one of the USPs of Mandi. From upcycled handmade bags hung on colorful taps and soap dishes, from buttons and laces stocked in minibar refrigerators, to shoes displayed on egg crates and much more, you will marvel at the creative use of day-to-day items. Based on village market concepts, Mandi is a lifestyle store with a difference.

One will always find something for themselves at this quirky lifestyle store. Jewellery from natural stone formations, natural leaves dipped in gold, party games to play over a drink, 100% natural handmade bath products made from coffee, chocolate, beer and other exotic mixes, hand woven bags made by destitute women, to hand painted shoes, skirts inspired by Indian gypsies, furnishings made from banana fibre, apparels for men from organic fibre, exotic handmade paper and stationery, to organic children’s apparel, the list is exhaustive!

One should especially look out for the ayurvedic fabric handwoven from, pineapple, aloe vera, bamboo, vetiver and handspun pure silk sarees from all around India.

Art from all across India is on display in one of the themed rooms.

The sister duo of Cleo Savkur and Cornelia Pereira, whose brainchild this is, are committed to showcasing products that are unique at affordable prices. Even the Mascot of the store is the feisty Indian cow, based on the fact that it is a characteristic feature at every Indian Marketplace.

Once you have shopped till you dropped, you can re charge yourselves at the café attached to Mandi that offers street food from across India. Cutting adraki chai, dabeli, pav bhaji and kheema pao; all this and much more!
