A great time was had by all
The Christmas Pop-Up Bazaar, featuring two wonderful days of fun, food, workshops, surprises, performances and fabulous designer displays, was a great success. Folks arrived from all over Goa, India and abroad to shop and dine and drink and participate in activities such as shopping and origami and pottery making. The event, presented by Paperboat Collective with Goa Streets as Media Partner, was held on Dec. 21st and 22nd at the Backyard, behind Paperboat Collective and just down the street from Goa Streets (on Chogm Road in Sangolda). Designers and presenters included Blue House by Jacqueline Moser, Areev by Ally Mathan, Munchkins by Aparna Patil, Janota, the Private Collection, Asmita Marwa, Ketaki Pimpalkhare, Tia & Tan, Ranjit Paes, Sunieta Narayana, Kraayonz, Thomas Louis, Arvind Prabhakar, Tara Trust and Cocktails by Desmondji. A portion of the proceeds from the event go to Child’s Play India, helping disadvantaged children through teaching them classical music. Among the event’s highlights were the painting of a huge wall and the construction of a Christmas tree made out of beer bottles. There was also Tarot card reading, tattoos and hair styling, in addition to a number of moving music performances of different genres. Way to go Paperboat Collective! Let’s do it again next year…
